My name is Mustapha Elayadi, and I’m a certified desert guide affectionately known by my friends as “The Desert GPS.” I’m 35 years old and was born in the heart of the Sahara, near the mystical Lake Iriki.

I began my early education in the desert, then continued middle and high school in Foum Zguid. Later, I moved to Agadir, where I earned a degree in English Studies with a focus on linguistics.

During my university years, I proudly took on the role of a messenger of the nomads. I worked to raise awareness of their way of life and the challenges they face.

After graduation, I felt a deep calling to return to my homeland. The Lake Iriki desert, though rich in cultural heritage, remains off the beaten path. I wanted to help develop the region and create opportunities for the nomadic communities. Today, they are more vulnerable than ever due to the impacts of climate change.

Now, I manage a desert camp nestled among the dunes of Lake Iriki. I guide travelers through the Chegaga and Iriki regions, sharing the traditions, landscapes, and stories of the Sahara.

I’m also a friendly and open-minded person who enjoys meeting new people and building genuine connections. It would be my honor to help you discover the true magic of the Moroccan desert.
