About From Seed to Plate
Begin your Lehna Oasis Culinary Excursion and step into the heart of southern Morocco with a unique cultural experience through the Oasis Women’s Tour in Agadir Lehna. Departing from Tata, this immersive journey invites you to share a day in the life of Saharan women, where generations of culinary tradition come to life. Begin your visit in the lush oasis of Agadir Lehna and meet the women of the local association, guardians of ancestral skills. You’ll join a hands-on workshop to prepare multi-grain couscous from scratch, learn how to make curdled milk, and shape traditional bread baked in clay ovens.
After savoring your own homemade couscous during a shared lunch, continue the day with a Saharan tea ceremony, where the slow, poetic ritual of tea preparation reflects deep-rooted hospitality. You’ll also explore the henna plant, cultivated in the region, and learn the art of henna tattooing from skilled local women. This tour is a celebration of flavors, heritage, and feminine solidarity—an authentic, enriching road trip unlike any other.
