Discover the traditions of rural Morocco with Arganis Experience, a women-led cooperative offering authentic cultural and culinary experiences just 15 minutes from Agadir. Located in Douar Tabatkoukt, Drarga, the Argan Istmazirt Cooperative invites visitors to explore local traditions, learn traditional skills and enjoy the flavours of Moroccan terroir.
Through hands-on workshops, guests discover the secrets of argan oil production, prepare traditional Moroccan dishes and learn how to make Moroccan bread. Each experience offers a chance to connect with local women, share their knowledge and discover the cultural heritage of the Souss-Massa region.
Argan Oil Workshop
Learn about the traditional uses of argan and make your own argan oil. Choose between cosmetic and culinary oil, then take home a small bottle as a souvenir. The experience also includes a Moroccan tea break featuring local products.
Moroccan Cooking Class
Discover the flavours of Moroccan cuisine through a hands-on cooking workshop led by the women of the cooperative. Prepare traditional dishes, enjoy a welcome tea tasting and share a delicious lunch made as part of the experience.
Traditional Moroccan Bread Workshop
Explore the art of traditional bread-making and discover an essential part of Moroccan food culture. The workshop includes a tea break featuring local products and an opportunity to take a photo in traditional Moroccan dress.
The Complete Arganis Experience
Make the most of your visit with a combination of all three workshops. Discover argan oil production, traditional bread-making and Moroccan cooking in one immersive experience. A terroir tea break and a small bottle of argan oil are also included.
More than a workshop, Arganis Experience is an opportunity to discover the people and traditions behind rural Moroccan life. Visitors are welcomed by the women of the cooperative, who share their knowledge and skills in a friendly, authentic setting.
Before or after the workshops, visitors can explore the on-site shop, featuring argan oil, amlou and Bazhar care products made available by the cooperative.
Located just 15 minutes from Agadir, Arganis Experience is an easy addition to a stay in Agadir, Taghazout or the wider Souss-Massa region. The programme can also be adapted to the time available, making it suitable for individual travellers, families and organised groups.
