The village of Imhiln

The village of Imhiln is one of the major attractions in the hinterland of Agadir. Located about 80 km on the road to Tafraout, as you drive along the valley, a fascinating landscape catches your eye. In the distance, the ruins of Imhiln village stand on their rocky promontory, like an eagle’s nest overlooking the valley. The village is characterized by its defensive ramparts and is home to one of the old collective granaries of the region. Surrounding it, you can still see the paved areas used for crop drying and threshing. It’s hard to remain indifferent to the beauty of this panorama, which often prompts a stop and provides an opportunity to capture some stunning photos of southern Morocco.
